Data privacy

The aim of this data privacy statement is to explain how, how much and why this website collects and uses your personal data. We refer you to the German Federal Data Act (BDSG) and German Telemedia Act (TMG) for more details on the legal underpinnings.

Login data and server log files
We or our web space provider collect login data every time you access our website, and this information will be stored in server log files. Your login data will include the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of login, the amount of data transferred, reports on successful data retrieval, your browser type and version, the operating system you are using, the referrer URL – that is, the website that you were on before you came to ours, your IP address and requesting provider.

The webmaster will use your protocol data for statistical purposes only towards optimising the website’s operation, security, and content; we retain the right to review the data on reasonable suspicion of unlawful use.

Contact
We will collect the information you have given us if you contact us, such as by using our contact form or sending us an e-mail, for us to be able to handle your request and any follow-up questions.

Cookies
Cookies are small files that allow data specific to the device – PC, smartphone or similar – that you are using to visit our website. There are two reasons we use cookies: the first is to make it easier for you to use our website, such as by saving your login name and password, and the second is to collect statistical data on how our website is being used for analysis towards optimising our website. You can influence how we use cookies as most browsers have a settings option to restrict or completely prevent cookies from being used. If you do choose to prevent cookies, remember that you may be limiting your user experience and convenience while using our website.

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. The system uses what are referred to as cookies – text files that are stored on your computer to allow us to analyse how you use our website. The information that the cookie contains on your visit to our website is usually transferred to Google’s servers in the US.

Google truncates IP addresses from member states of the European Union or other member countries of the Agreement on the European Economic Area on websites that have IP anonymisation activated. The full IP address will only be sent to, and shortened by, Google servers in the USA in exceptional cases. Our website uses IP anonymisation. Google will use this information to analyse your use of our website, compile reports on website activities for the webmaster, and provide additional services involving website and internet use as commissioned by this website’s webmaster.

Google will not link your IP address in the Google Analytics service with any other data held by Google. You may prevent your browser from saving cookies using the appropriate settings in your web browser software; however, if you should choose to do so, note that you will not be able to use the website's functionality to its full extent. You may also prevent Google from collecting and using data in the form of cookies and IP addresses by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Click this link to deactivate Google Analytics if you wish to prevent Google Analytics on this website in the future without using the plugin or if you are using a mobile device. This will place an opt-out cookie on your device. Click that link again to delete the cookie.
